How do i switch my Microsoft Basic subscription to my new laptop

Question

I got a new laptop and i need to add my Microsoft Basic 365 subscription to it.

When i tried to open an old Excel file from my previous laptop, i got the message "your Microsoft 365 doesn't include Excel."

Questions:

1. How do i add my Microsoft 365 subscription to my new laptop?
2. What Microsoft programs are included in my Microsoft 365 subscription?

Hello !

Microsoft 365 Basic does not include desktop Office apps. Only the Personal and Family subscriptions do include Office.
Were you able to use desktop Office apps on your previous PC ? If you still have it, open Office, go to File > Account, and please check which version of Office you have.

Firstly, check which Microsoft 365 subscription on your Microsoft account. You can check it here : https://account.microsoft.com/services
In the meantime, you can still use the free web version of Office apps here : https://m365.cloud.microsoft/
