Microsoft Lists Sideways Scroll not working

When I am using Microsoft Lists and have many columns, I cannot use the scroll bar to scroll across all of the columns. I have to highlight the table and move across the table that way. Why isn't this working?

Hi Sam Palmes, I can see how frustrating it must feel when something as simple as scrolling in Microsoft Lists doesn’t behave the way you expect.

To fix the sideways scroll issue in Microsoft Lists, switch to Grid view for consistent scrolling reduce the number of columns in the default view use browser level horizontal scroll (Shift + Mouse Wheel on Windows or two finger swipe on Mac) check that zoom is set to 100% and resolution is sufficient try using Edge for best compatibility and if needed use arrow keys in Grid view to move across columns.

When you try to scroll sideways in Microsoft Lists does the scroll bar fail to appear entirely or does it appear but simply not respond to input?

    Best regards

It seems that you are experiencing issues with the horizontal scroll functionality in Microsoft Lists when dealing with many columns. This could be due to a few reasons:

    1. Browser Compatibility: Ensure that you are using a compatible browser. Sometimes, certain features may not work correctly in all browsers.
    2. Zoom Level: Check your browser's zoom level. If it is set too high, it may affect the display of the scroll bars.
    3. Screen Resolution: Your screen resolution may also impact how the scroll bars appear. If your resolution is low, it might limit the ability to scroll horizontally.
    4. Microsoft Lists Settings: There might be specific settings within Microsoft Lists that affect how the columns and scroll bars are displayed. Check if there are any options related to display or layout that need adjustment.
    5. Updates: Ensure that your Microsoft 365 applications are up to date, as updates often fix bugs and improve functionality.

If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
