Hi Niranjan Kumar, thanks for sharing the details. I understand how frustrating it is when Excel or Word shows the error message “We’re sorry, but Excel has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly” and then closes.
First, restart your computer and check for any pending Windows updates. Go to Settings > Windows Update and install all updates, as missing patches can cause Office apps to crash.
Second, repair your Office installation. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Microsoft Office > Modify, then choose Quick Repair. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, run Online Repair for a deeper fix.
Third, disable any add-ins that might be causing conflicts. Open Excel or Word in Safe Mode by holding Ctrl while launching the app, then go to File > Options > Add-ins and disable non-essential add-ins.
Last, if the error persists, uninstall Office using the Office Uninstall Support Tool, then reinstall it from your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com/services.
If this helps, please mark the answer as accepted so others can find it too.
