Can windows 7,8 be updated to windows11?

Hello
Currently I have PCs with windows7 or 8 installed. May I know can they be updated to windows11 directly at the time windows 11 is released?

    Hi there,

    Yes if your PC meets the Hardware requirement you can try the In-place update or the Clean install to directly update to Win 11. But you will be needing the ISO for this and you cannot update to Win 11 from the settings.

    7 > clean install to 10 > 11

    According to Microsoft Support, you are only able to upgrade Windows 10 devices which are meet the minimum requirements for the Windows 11, take a look at:

    Direct upgrade from other version of Windows , including Windows 7 is not available and you have to perform a clean install or upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10 and then upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11.

    Only Windows 10 can be updated to Windows 11.
