Is your PC currently stuck on a blue screen caused by an update currently in progress, if so, if you force your PC to restart, does it boot into Windows normally?

    2

If you are able to get into Windows:

    A

Click your Start Button, type winver and hit Enter

Please provide a screenshot of the resulting dialog.

    B

    Open the Settings App.

Go to Update and Security - Windows Updates

Please provide a screenshot of that window

To address the blue screen issue and the update error 0x80070002 on Windows 10, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check for Missing Files: The error 0x80070002 often indicates that certain files are missing. You should check the CBS logs for entries indicating missing files or services that failed to start. You can also verify the existence of the folder C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319 to confirm if it's empty.
    2. Copy Missing Folders: If the folder is empty, you can copy the System Tools folder from a working machine to the affected machine, ensuring all shortcuts are included.
    3. Registry Key Deletion: If you encounter the error during the update installation, you may need to back up and delete specific registry keys. Navigate to the following registry locations and delete them:
      • HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services\clr_optimization_v4.0.30319_32
      • HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services\clr_optimization_v4.0.30319_64 After deleting these keys, attempt to install the update again.
    4. SetupDiag Tool: You can also use the SetupDiag tool from Microsoft, which helps diagnose many Windows upgrade errors. Download the tool, run it, and check the results in the SetupDiagResults.log file for further insights.

If you continue to face issues, consider contacting Microsoft support for more assistance.
