Message deletion

Hi,

this is happening to me on Outlook 2021 configured with Google Mail (IMAP): when I want to delete a message from my inbox, instead of just the one I selected, it also deletes the message underneath. So, it deletes two messages instead of one, even though I only selected one.

I'm available for further information.

Thank you.

Best regards.

It sounds like you're experiencing a known issue with Outlook when configured with Google Mail (IMAP). This behavior can occur due to how Outlook handles deletions in certain configurations. When you delete a message, it may inadvertently select an adjacent message as well, leading to multiple deletions.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that your Outlook 2021 is updated to the latest version, as updates often include bug fixes.
    2. Reconfigure IMAP Settings: Sometimes, reconfiguring your IMAP settings for your Google Mail account in Outlook can help resolve synchronization issues.
    3. Use the Web Interface: As a temporary workaround, you can use the Gmail web interface to manage your emails until the issue is resolved in Outlook.
    4. Contact Support: If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.

If you provide more details about your setup or any specific error messages, I might be able to offer more targeted advice.
