Hello,

I had two Microsoft 365 subscriptions and cancelled one, but it looks like both were cancelled. I only wanted to remove the duplicate and keep one subscription at $21.44/year. Can you help me restore the correct subscription at that rate?

Thank you,

John

    Hi John,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand how frustrating it is to cancel one subscription and see both removed, especially when you intended to keep the $21.44/year plan. This usually happens because Microsoft accounts often link multiple subscriptions under the same billing profile. If they share payment details or renewal settings, canceling one can affect the other. In cases of overlapping or duplicate services, the system may treat the cancellation as ending the entire group. Unfortunately, once a subscription is fully canceled, it can’t be restored at the previous promotional rate.

To resolve this, sign in to account.microsoft.com/services and check which subscriptions are active or expired. If both are canceled, you’ll need to repurchase the plan. You can also contact Microsoft Support to request restoration or a price adjustment, though promotional pricing isn’t guaranteed.

I hope you find this information helpful. Please let me know if you have any further questions If the answer is helpful, please click "Accept Answer".

    Carlo

If you have canceled the wrong subscription and need to restore the correct one, you can reactivate your subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center if it was canceled within the cancellation policy window. Here are the general steps to follow:

    1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
    2. If you have a Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) billing account type, ensure you are a Billing account owner or contributor.
    3. Look for the option to reactivate your subscription, which should be available if it is within the allowed timeframe.

If you encounter any issues or if the subscription is no longer available for reactivation, you may need to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.
