I need to reset my password on my main account and the steps provided by microsoft do not work. I don't have the authenticator app ( I will setup after this issue is solved for sure, jesus) and the SMS text messaging system says it's not working and to try back later. I have an alternate email and i get the codes sent there, but I do have two factor turned on (at this point the juice isn't worth the squeeze on that) and since no authenticator my only other verification is the SMS text system that isn't working. I'm entering my second 24hr time frame of not having access to my computer basically and this is unsat. I had to create this alternate email just so i could log in and try and access other tools to try and remedy this situation. For the life of me I see mention of a live chat feature, but can't find where to actually start that. Also, the AI driven phone lady is worthless as she points me to a tool that doesn't ultimately work b/c the SMS system doesn't work. Please provide some guidance on this soon. I'd really like to get back into my system. I will setup the authenticator app after this for sure. Thank you for your time. - Adam

    Hello, Adam Bruce.

Since we are talking about your personal account access data, you should contact Microsoft Support directly in the chat.: https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=www.microsoft.com

In the search bar, type (without quotes) "agent support" and press Enter or click on Get Help. Ignore the search results, and click on the "Contact Support" button at the bottom. On the next page, select "Windows" and "Technical Support" from the drop-down lists, and then click on "Confirm". Next, select the chat "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" and on the next page, enter your (the one that works) email address and click on "Confirm". A chat window will open in a new tab. Wait for the operator to respond and describe the situation to him.

Note. The chat is available during business hours and on business days according to US time.
