I don´t know what to do. I changed my Microsoft password 4 or so times. It says it is correct. When I login I am told I have tried multiple times and the password is incorrect.

What do I do?

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Since you are still unable to sign in despite successful password resets, this indicates that the account is temporarily blocked due to multiple failed sign-in attempts/unusual login pattern.

It is also possible that someone may have been trying to sign in to your account repeatedly which triggering the system to detect unusual activity.

Please perform these steps to resolve an account block:

    1. Perform a password reset using an InPrivate window or Incognito.
    2. Try using different devices and network services.
    3. Wait 24 hours to perform a password reset, but please make sure not to reset the password within that timeframe, as this may reset the lock cooldown.
    4. If it doesn't work after 24 hours, try waiting exactly 48 hours before resetting the password

Once you have regained access to your account, I suggest following the guide from this thread to prevent unauthorized logins: https://learn.microsoft.com/answers/questions/4049625/someone-is-repeatedly-trying-to-access-or-hack-my?forum=windows-all&referrer=answers

Thank you for your understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

If you are experiencing issues logging in after changing your Microsoft password multiple times, here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check Your User ID: Ensure you are entering the correct user ID associated with your Microsoft account. It usually looks like someone@example.com or ******@example.onmicrosoft.com.
    2. Verify Password Entry: Make sure that you are entering the password correctly. If you are copying and pasting it, be cautious of any extra spaces before or after the password.
    3. Wait Before Retrying: If you have tried logging in multiple times unsuccessfully, you may be temporarily locked out. Typically, after three failed attempts, there is a lockout period of five minutes before you can try again.
    4. Reset Password Again: If you continue to have trouble, consider resetting your password again. Make sure to follow the password reset instructions carefully.
    5. Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, you may need to reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance. They can help you resolve any account access issues.

Following these steps should help you regain access to your account.
