Excel files on SharePoint 2013 - multiusers

Hello,

Is there a way in which multiple users can work in an Excel file uploaded to a SharePoint library at the same time?

I've tried:

  • Activating the Share option in Excel
  • Made the Excel file a Shared Workbook
  • Activated "Open Documents in Client Applications by Default" in SharePoint settings
  • Activated "Open in the browser" in library settings

Any other tips?

    Excel client application does not support co-authoring, only through the excel web apps can do this.

    And you should deploy office online server according to this article.

    For Excel on SharePoint Server, you must meet two requirements:

    • Deploy Office Online Server
    • All users must use the Excel web app, not the desktop client
