Problems using array variables with Azure Monitor Metrics

Hi,

I’m using Grafana v11.6.3 and have parameterized values for resources to work with different environments. When I try to use a filter with a multi-value variable (array) in an Azure Monitor Metrics query, it only takes the first value.

I’ve read that this might be a known limitation in previous versions. Is this correct? If multi-value filtering is supported, could you provide an example?

The attached image shows my current configuration.

    Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

afaik, it is a limitation. Grafana’s Azure Monitor metrics queries do not truly support multi value variables for resource selection. Only the first value is used. There is no native way to pass an array of resource names into a single Azure Monitor Metrics query. If you need multi-value behaviour, you must create multiple queries in the same panel, one per selected item.
