I am unable to recover my email account, and there is no option for sending the security code to my phone. I've tried contacting Microsoft direct, via email and phone, but keep getting directed to the self-help page online. No options for answering security questions.... I really need to speak to a human instead of AI PLEASE!!
Hotmail Security Codes
Hello - I have a Hotmail account on my home computer), that I've been using for years, and had an old, separate email address for recovery and verification purposes. I deleted that email a few years ago due to too much spam, and had forgotten that I used it for verification. Now when I log in I'm asked to have a code sent to the deleted email. I am (still) given the option of using my password and have been able to log in. Today however, I received a message that my security info will be changed on November 30th. That message also gives me the option to cancel this change or contact "us", but when I click on either one of those it wants to send a code to the deleted email, so I cannot cancel or contact. I could really use some help in getting this process taken care of, but there is no longer a support option via email. If someone can help with this problem I would appreciate it. This email is for my business and I cannot have it discontinued or blocked, or whatever. Even if my security info gets changed, I won't have a clue what it was changed to! And by the way, I only use my phone for calls and text message - I do not use it for emails, or anything else, so if someone can please reply accordingly it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

2025-11-17T22:13:12.29+00:00 To address your issue with your Hotmail account, you will need to regain access to your security information. Since you no longer have access to the deleted email for verification, here are some steps you can take:
- Try to Recover Your Deleted Email: If possible, check if you can recover the deleted email account. Some email providers allow you to recover deleted accounts within a certain time frame.
- Use Your Phone for Verification: Since you mentioned that you only use your phone for calls and texts, consider adding your phone number as a recovery option if you can access your account. This can help you receive verification codes directly on your phone.
- Contact Microsoft Support: If you cannot access your account and cannot receive the verification code, you may need to contact Microsoft support directly. You can find the appropriate support contact for your region by visiting the Microsoft support page. Explain your situation clearly, and they may be able to assist you in resetting your security information.
- Check for Alternative Recovery Options: Sometimes, there may be alternative recovery options available, such as answering security questions or providing information about your account usage.
It's crucial to resolve this before the security info change date to avoid losing access to your account.
