This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I want to install docker desktop in my computer, but it still hang at step deploying component: use WSL 2 instead of Hyper-V (recommend).
I try to research how to fix this problem and i found a way to fix this issue is enable VirtualMachinePlatform, then I go to Optional Features and **click to Virtual Machine Platform
**after it's scanning for required file, I choosen options is download it, but after 1 hours install it's appear a dialogue with message error code: 0x80070005.
I try otherway like run command: Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName VirtualMachinePlatform -All
and
dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:VirtualMachinePlatform /all /norestart
But it's has same result are still hang when loading to 37.8%
Could you give me solutions to fix it and something to check requirement before install docker desktop again?

Hi Van,
Thank you for sharing your issue. I understand how frustrating it is to see the installation hang and receive error code 0x80070005 when enabling VirtualMachinePlatform. Based on my knowledge this error usually indicates access denied or missing system components, and the hang at 37% often points to Windows Update or component store corruption.
The reason this happens is that enabling VirtualMachinePlatform requires certain prerequisites
Virtualization must be enabled in the BIOS/UEFI. Windows must be fully updated and have the latest servicing stack. The component store must be healthy to apply optional features.
To resolve this, start by checking that virtualization is enabled in BIOS and that your system meets Docker Desktop requirements: Windows 11 (Build 22000+), WSL 2 installed, and Hyper-V or Virtual Machine Platform enabled. Then, run these steps:
Open PowerShell as Administrator and run sfc /scannow, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. This repairs system files and the component store.
Make sure all pending Windows Updates are installed.
Retry enabling the feature using:
DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:VirtualMachinePlatform /All /LimitAccess /Source:<path to ISO>
Use a Windows ISO as the source if online repair fails.
May I also ask if you have already verified that virtualization is enabled in BIOS and whether your Windows Update works correctly? This will help determine if a repair installation is necessary.
I hope this answer is helpful, if you have any questions feel free to reply.
Best Regards.
Noel
