Verification methods not working

I recently changed my password and now the new one isn't working. I've gone through the "Forgot Password" link and used the option of emailing a security code to my secondary email. When I use the code sent, the verification makes me do it again. So I send another code and when I use the second one it says, "This verification method isn't working. Try again Later". I have tried now for multiple days and I keep getting the same message. I've also gotten the message that "You've requested too many codes today, try again tomorrow". It is just round and round. I have also tried using switching to texting a code to my phone and that method says "Try another verification method. That method isn't working right now".

I've even gone so far to reach out to support and fill out an account recovery form with a ton of security questions. They auto reply back, that since multi-factor authorization is turned on they ignore that request.

How are we supposed to recover our accounts if none of the methods are working?

It seems you are experiencing multiple issues with the verification methods after changing your password. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the situation:

    1. Check Time Synchronization: Ensure that the clock on your device is set correctly. If your device's clock is out of sync, it can cause issues with receiving and using verification codes.
    2. Use a Different Method: If you are having trouble with email verification, try using a different method, such as receiving a code via SMS. However, you mentioned that this method is also not working.
    3. Wait Before Trying Again: Since you have received messages indicating that you have requested too many codes, it may be beneficial to wait for a period (like 24 hours) before attempting to request another code. This can help reset any limits on code requests.
    4. Contact Support Again: If you have already reached out to support and received an automated response, consider trying again. Make sure to explain your situation clearly and mention that you are unable to access your account due to issues with multi-factor authentication.
    5. Account Recovery Form: Since you filled out an account recovery form, ensure that you provided accurate information. If you are still unable to recover your account, it may be worth checking if there are alternative recovery options available.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, you may need to continue working with support to find a solution.

    Hi,

I understand that you are receiving the message 'Try another verification method. That method isn't working right now' when trying to log in. This usually appears due to unusual activity, a high volume of requests, or similar issues.

Make sure you’re using a device and location you’ve previously used to sign in. Try using a different verification method, such as an alternate email instead of SMS (or vice versa). You can also switch networks by using Wi-Fi or mobile data. Avoid making repeated attempts. In some cases, waiting 24-48 hours may help resolve the issue. For further assistance, use the sign-in helper tool to identify the problem and explore available support options.
