Microsoft authenticator application issue

I worked for a company this past June that required the Microsoft Authenticator app. To sign in, I had to use my school email as it was required (per company policy). I resigned from that job in August and deleted the app without realizing that it was still connected to my account. Last night, I tried to remove my school from the app, but ended up deleting my phone number from the Microsoft school account. Now, I am unable to sign in because the authenticator app is requesting a security code. I need help signing back in.

To regain access to your Microsoft school account after deleting the Microsoft Authenticator app and your phone number, you can follow these steps:

    1. Recover Your Account: Go to the Microsoft account recovery page and follow the prompts to recover your account. You may need to verify your identity using an alternative method, such as an email or phone number associated with your account.
    2. Contact IT Support: Since this is a school account, reach out to your school's IT department or help desk. They can assist you in resetting your account and re-adding your phone number or other recovery options.
    3. Reinstall the Authenticator App: Once you regain access, you can reinstall the Microsoft Authenticator app. Make sure to set it up again with your school account, following the instructions provided by your IT department.
    4. Update Security Information: After regaining access, consider updating your security information in your Microsoft account settings to ensure you have recovery options available in the future.

If you encounter any specific error messages during this process, please provide those details for more tailored assistance.
