How to show "Add more filters" in Sharepoint search settings

Hi. I can't seem to find the option "Add to filter" in the Sharepoint settings or library. Where exactly can I find it? In my other test Sharepoint site, it's not showing up from my end. I need to be able to edit the list inside it.

Let me ask you this: If your tenant currently has a search filter across SharePoint, meaning all sites have that filter? Then it’s very likely this feature is related to Microsoft Syntex.

However, if only one site shows the filter, then the library in that site might be using a special custom column.

Please check based on these two scenarios. If, after checking, you still don’t know how to add the search filter to other sites, kindly ask your global admin to create a ticket in the Admin Center so the technical support team can assist. Get support for Microsoft 365 for business.

Creating a ticket is necessary because if neither scenario explains the issue, the root cause may lie in deep tenant configuration or related services (such as Syntex, Search schema, or site collection-level settings). These details cannot be identified through the standard interface alone.

The technical support engineer will use Microsoft internal tools to review the detailed configuration of your tenant and sites.
