I had to dig on multiple forums, but I found a solution, which was to uninstall Killer (the program for the ethernet network card) from the add/remove programs section.
Very slow upload speed
I have a desktop computer with Windows 10.
Ethernet connection speed : 440 mbps download, 0.5 mbps upload
Same computer on wifi : 92 mbps download, 47 mbps upload.
I tried reseting the modem/router. I tried another ethernet cable and another port on the modem/router (I only have one port on the computer).
I tried resetting network connection (with netsh and ipconfig /release /renew).
I scanned for malwares.
Is there something else I can check?

- Are the router and computer in the same room and on the same floor of the house, or are they on different rooms and floors?
- Is the PC's network cable connected to the LAN wall socket or directly to the router?
Specify the exact computer model or motherboard model, or go to Start, type msinfo in the search box, and attach a screenshot of the System Information page.
Right-click Start > Device Manager, expand Network Adapters, and post a screenshot.

2025-11-21T10:21:50.4666667+00:00 If you are using a third-party firewall/antivirus, try completely uninstalling it using its proprietary removal software. Additionally, disable or uninstall any VPN software, then try again.
If the problem persists, try performing a clean boot of Windows:https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd#id0ebbd=windows_10
During Clean Boot Mode, check the speed.
If the problem does not occur during Clean Boot Mode, it means that a service or program is causing the interference or conflict. Follow the instructions in the guide to identify the service or program causing the conflict and remove it.
Perform the test with the PC connected via Ethernet.
