Can't save or create documents today

Hi all,

I want to create new documents using the templates I have saved. It doesn't let me to save any documents today. The Save is faded out as well as Save As.

It tells me to renew the subscription, but my renewal is in March of 2026. So, I shouldn't be paying again a couple of months before my renewal.

I need to create those documents fast, and I can't!!!

Hi AnnaL, are you signed in with the Microsoft account linked to your active subscription?

Word sometimes stops saving if it doesn’t recognize your license. Check your subscription at account.microsoft.com/services to confirm it is active. Make sure Word is fully updated, then sign out of all accounts and sign back in with the correct one. If the issue continues, use the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to repair Office licensing.
