How do I insert bullet points in Word?

Can someone explain to me how to insert a bullet point into a word document?

In Word for Windows, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+L to apply the List Bullet style. By default, this applies a standard round bullet with no additional indent in the paragraph. (You can customize the style if you want to.)

When you want to "turn off" bullets and return to Normal style, press Ctrl+Shift+N.
