I made this microsoft account for my son so he can play minecraft. (I do not have a microsoft account myself) when I signed him up, I did sign him up as a kid. It did not make me add myself as a parent. He is all of a sudden having issues playing multi-player in minecraft now. It gives him an error saying that the parental controls on his microsoft account are preventing him from playing multi-player. Mind you, I have 2 other kids with a microsoft account, and they can play multi-player just fine and they are even younger than my son with the issues. We didnt change anything on his account (minecraft or microsoft), it just randomly stopped letting him play and gives him the error message now. Someone please help me get his multi-player back up and running. Ive purchased many things on his minecraft account with this microsoft account and I dont want to lose it all and have to create a new account.

To resolve the issue with your son's Microsoft account preventing him from accessing multiplayer in Minecraft, you will need to check and adjust the parental controls associated with his account. Since he is set up as a child account, certain restrictions may be in place that block multiplayer access.

Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft Family Safety website: You will need to create a Microsoft account for yourself if you do not have one. This account will act as the parent account.
    2. Add your account as a parent: Once you have your Microsoft account, you can add it as a parent to your son's account. This will allow you to manage his settings.
    3. Adjust parental controls: After setting up the family group, navigate to your son's account settings. Look for the section related to privacy and online safety. Here, you can adjust the settings to allow multiplayer gaming.
    4. Check for age restrictions: Ensure that the age settings on your son's account are appropriate for the content he is trying to access. If necessary, you can request an exception for multiplayer access.
    5. Save changes and test: Once you have made the necessary adjustments, save the changes and have your son try to access multiplayer in Minecraft again.

If the issue persists, you may want to check for any updates or changes in the game or the Microsoft account settings that could affect access.
