Hi,
Thanks for reaching out and explaining the issue. I understand you’re having trouble printing pages 1 and 4 one-sided, and Word isn’t letting you do that. The reason this happens is that when you choose “Booklet” in Page Setup, Word assumes you’ll print all pages in sequence for folding, so custom ranges like 1 and 4 often get overridden because the layout expects paired pages.
Here’s what you can try. First, keep the booklet layout by setting “Multiple pages” to “Book fold” in Page Setup and make sure the paper size and orientation are correct. Then, instead of using the booklet print option, go to File - Print, choose a custom range like 1,4, and set it to print one-sided. If that still doesn’t work, temporarily switch “Multiple pages” back to Normal before printing, because booklet mode locks the sequence.
Another option is to save the document as a PDF and open it in Adobe Reader or a similar app. From there, you can print pages 1 and 4 one-sided without restrictions. PDF gives you more control over custom ranges.
I hope this helps. If you need more clarification, feel free to reply.
Regards,
Edward
