How to reset my windows log in

I started a system restore and it crashed. I only have access to safe mode now but cannot use it due to forgetting my windows log in credentials. What can be done to remedy this? Thanks

If you have forgotten your Windows login credentials and can only access Safe Mode, you can use the System Restore feature to log on to your account, provided you have a restore point from when you could log in successfully. Here are the steps you can follow:

1. Insert the Windows installation media (DVD or USB) and restart your computer.
2. When prompted, press any key to boot from the media.
3. Select your preferences for language, time, and keyboard input, then click Next.
4. Click on Repair your computer and select the operating system you want to repair.
5. Choose System Restore and click Next.
6. Select a restore point that was created before you lost access to your account and click Next.
7. Confirm the disks you want to restore and click Next.
8. Click Finish and confirm the restoration process.
9. Once the process is complete, restart your computer.

After the restart, try logging in with your previous credentials. If you still cannot log in, you may need to create a new administrator account or reset your password using other recovery options available in Windows.
