I purchased a PC - came with Windows 11 Home
I wanted to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro, and use the digital licence with my account (that PC died)
I asked Co-Pilot how, and it advised to enter a generic product key to trigger upgrade, which i did, but system wont let me use my digital licence (it shows me the old PC in my account) but it keeps detecting the Windows Home key linked to my account and wants me to use that....
I tried the website - but all support channels send me back to the same troubleshooter.
I tried calling - sends me back to website.
Any ideas?
For clarity - my old PC that died had Windows 11 Pro. - this is the licence I want to use.
I have rejected the answer from CoPilot as i tried that, even tried calling (following the slui 4 process.. but cant get a human.....)

Hi! Did the Windows 11 Pro license come with your old device, or did you purchase it separately from the software that came with it? If you bought it from a third-party reseller, did you link that license to this Microsoft account?
If you purchased it through the Microsoft Store, could you please go to the following link and confirm that you’re signed in with the same account you used for the purchase: account.microsoft.com/billing/orders
It was originally a Windows 10 Pro licence that I upgraded. (And may have been a Windows 8.1 Pro before that, which I upgraded to Windows 10)
When I go into the "Changed Hardware" option, it shows me the old PC with the Windows 11 Pro Licence and if I choose it and click activate then it does not work.
So all my licences are linked to the same MS account.
Okay, you mentioned earlier that only the Home license was displayed, but if the Pro license appears, please let me know what message you receive when you try to activate it. If possible, please also share a screenshot of the activation window or error message.

I decided to do a full fresh install of Windows 11 Home, then upgrade to Win 11 pro. (Use default key) It then allowed me after a few tries to see the Pro licences of my old PCs.
However, no matter which one I select I get the same outcome....
I have tried keying my old Pro keys from Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 but no luck....

Microsoft have closed the loophole (their words) allowing a Windows 7 o 8 licence to be used to activate Windows 10 or 11.
You may need to buy a new upgrade licence.
