Issue with office 365 activation code

Question

I purchased an activation key from Amazon in India and tried to renew my Microsoft 365 account using the key in Dubai.

However, while activating the key, I am getting an error message that the geographic location is not accepted. I need to sort this out since I paid for this original microsoft activation key and I cannot return or refund the amount.

I heard that Microsoft can manually swap or activate the key to my region.

Microsoft Office licences and subscription codes are region locked and cannot be used in another location, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly to ask them if it is possible to change the subscription and if necessary pay the difference in the subscription price, try using this method to contact their support.

Select Microsoft 365

Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option
