Windows Activation Issues

Hello,

I just built a brand new PC and installed a copy of Windows 11 home from a USB drive. I then purchased a Windows 11 Home digital license from the Microsoft Store. My new PC is listed in my Microsoft account online, but the activation troubleshoot does not show it under the “I changed hardware on this device recently” option.

The license seems to be bound to a different hardware ID. I am signed into my new computer with the same account I bought my digital license with. I had an old Lenovo Laptop back in 2016/2017 that was somehow still showing up on my list of devices. I just removed that from my account. How can I got about this issue, I just want to activate Windows 11 on my new PC.

    Doing a repair reinstall seemed to fix the issue.
