network problems

router does not show internet light but is still connected

    I have windows 11 Asus computer, a Netgear (5 yr old) router and spectrum modem for internet. I played around with the yellow wires connected to the router, modem, and computer tower. Finally the internet light on the router turned green again.

    I don't know if its a modem, tower port, cables or router problem. I'm not going to touch it for now as I'm afraid it will go out again.

    What would you advise to try to figure out the problem.

    Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

    Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool. Or take a picture of the screen using a camera or smartphone and share it.
