Microsoft 365 Dev Tenant

I had a Microsoft 365 developer tenant which had lapsed. It expired on 12/25/24 and everything was deleted on 2/23/25. I wanted to create a new subscription for this in the portal, but that is not an option. I didn't want to delete my developer profile nor did I want to create a new account; is it possible something is "stuck" and not allowing me to register for a dev tenant?

Renewal always depends on your activity or usage while your subscription is active. In this case, you can contact the support team to submit your request by following the link below.

"In April 2019, we adopted a new model that allows your subscription to automatically renew every 60 to 90 days, depending on your activity, as long as you actively use it for development. This model ensures that developers who are actively building solutions have a subscription for as long as they need. If you develop frequently, your subscription never expires; it renews automatically. If you are eligible for a subscription and develop for a short period, and your subscription expires due to inactivity and is removed, you can purchase a new one."

Hello, good day and thank you for your question. Please note that your subscription is valid for up to 90 days, depending on your activity, and is renewable based on your developer activity. If you use your subscription for development, it will renew automatically. You can also find additional information about renewal by following the link below.
