It sounds like your laptop has entered BitLocker recovery mode, which can happen due to various reasons, including unexpected changes to the system. To regain access to your laptop, you will need to enter the BitLocker recovery key. Here’s how you can retrieve it:

    1. Check with your organization: If your laptop is managed by a school or organization, you may need to contact your IT support for assistance in retrieving the recovery key.
    2. Use the Intune Company Portal: If your device is enrolled in Intune, you can access the recovery key through the Company Portal website or app. Sign in, go to Devices, select your locked device, and choose Get recovery key.
    3. Look for a backup: If you previously saved the recovery key to a USB drive, printed it out, or saved it in your Microsoft account, check those locations.

If you cannot find the recovery key, you might need to reach out to your IT department for further assistance.

    Hi,

Is this your personal computer, or a school computer set up by them?

I suggest checking any Microsoft account associated with the PC, including personal, work, or school accounts. Please refer to the detailed article below to help you with this process.
