okay basically,i was on youtube. you know how youtube has that casting feature? i accidentally pressed it,and it casted to my grandmas tv. were under the same wifi,so ofc it casted.when i pressed "stop casting" it stopped, but a few minutes later it said it was casting. when i told my grandma, she said that it wasnt connected, and when we checked youtube,my device wasnt listed as an option under the wifi to cast. I never wanted any device under the wifi to cast on anything.i want to disable casting, and autocasting on ANY WEBSITE,including youtube. this is a major privacy concern, and i need answers please. I am on windows 11,lenovo laptop. i only have a touchpad,i tried going on "properties" to disable it,but i have no idea how since they do not have intructions for my specific device.is there anything else i can do thats simplier? because im not good at technology i dont want to accidently press something that ruins the device.

To disable casting features on your Windows 11 laptop, you can follow these steps:

    1. Turn Off Network Discovery and File Sharing: This can help prevent devices on your network from being able to discover your laptop for casting.
      • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Network and Sharing Center.
      • Click on Change advanced sharing settings.
      • Turn off Network discovery and File and printer sharing.
    2. Disable the Media Router: If you are using Microsoft Edge, you can disable the Media Router extension that handles casting.
      • Open Microsoft Edge and type edge://flags#edge-on-demand-media-router in the address bar.
      • Disable the feature from there, which will stop the Media Router from being active.
    3. Check Your Device Settings: Make sure that your device is not set to allow casting.
      • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and check if there are any settings related to casting or projecting.
    4. Use the Action Center: You can also quickly turn off casting from the Action Center.
      • Click on the Action Center icon on the taskbar and look for any casting options that might be active and turn them off.

By following these steps, you should be able to prevent any accidental casting from your device. If you continue to experience issues, consider checking the settings of the specific applications (like YouTube) for any casting options that can be disabled.

Hello, go to Settings > System > Optional Features > Check if the "Wireless Video" option is enabled and disable it.

In Settings > Privacy and Security > Other Devices, disable "Communicate with unpaired devices".

I hope these settings help you.
