Suddenly Outlook is saying "you need to sign in" and then says "something went wrong every time I try. I've restarted multiple times without success. I've triple checked the password.

Go ahead and check you web login for verizon and verify if Username and Password is working fine.

Next, it is also possible that Verizon's account needs an updated "App password" to be used for the Outlook.

Going back to your Outlook, you need to input the Verizon's password if it requires you to login.

Going back to the pop-up to sign-in (is this the one you are saying that you need to enter a PIN instead of a password?) Would there by any option when you login like "more choices" or " sign in with a Microsoft account"?

If none, force Office to re-ask for credentials by doing these:

    • Open Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts
    • Under Accounts used by other apps, find your Microsoft account

    Click Manage or Remove

Then Add your Microsoft account again

    • Go to https://account.microsoft.com in a web browser an d sign-in there (this will check the username and password will be accepted by the server)
    • If prompted:
      • Approve security prompt
      • Verify phone/email
      • Complete any security challenge
    • Now open Outlook again and try to sign in.

Complete the steps first then, let me know once done so I can assist you further.
