I rebooted windows 11 because after some update (I think it was AMD some chipset update but im not sure) my internet stopped working. It was saying that ethernet cable was not connected but it was. In device manager there was no realtek ethernet. So I tried some AMD/ realtek lan drivers from my usb and it everytime said ”The Realtek Network Controller was not found if Deep Sleep Mode is enabled please plug the cable” I tried other methods but nothing worked so I rebooted it.

While I get through installation win11 after selecting language then shows up internet connection and nothing to select, only I can open something from usb. It says that it needs driver. When I plugged usb it doesnt see .exe file driver. Ai told me that in installation windows cant read .exe file that it needs .inf file but I cant find any, everytime its .exe. MB is gigabyte b650 gaming x rev 1.0. Any fix? Please let me know. Thank you.

It seems you're experiencing issues with your Ethernet connection while installing Windows 11, particularly with driver recognition. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Check BIOS Settings: Ensure that the Ethernet controller is enabled in the BIOS settings. Sometimes, updates can reset settings.
    2. Use the Correct Drivers: Since you mentioned that the drivers you have are in .exe format, you will need to find the .inf files for the Realtek Ethernet drivers. You can usually find these on the manufacturer's website (Gigabyte in your case) under the support section for your motherboard model. Look for the LAN drivers specifically.
    3. Prepare Drivers on USB: Once you have the correct drivers, copy the .inf files to a USB drive. During the Windows installation, when prompted for drivers, navigate to the USB drive and select the .inf file. This should allow Windows to recognize the Ethernet controller.
    4. Try Different USB Ports: If the USB drive is not being recognized, try using different USB ports, especially USB 2.0 ports, as they are often more compatible during installation.
    5. Check Physical Connections: Ensure that the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the motherboard and the router/modem. If possible, test the cable with another device to confirm it is functioning.
    6. Use Windows PE: If you have access to Windows PE (Preinstallation Environment), you can use it to load drivers before the installation process. This may help in recognizing the Ethernet connection.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Gigabyte's support for further assistance or checking their forums for similar issues reported by other users.

    Hi ,

Can you access the device manager in the network and system controllers tab?

Take a screenshot and post it here.

Turn off the computer and look at the back, then turn it on and see if the network port flashes to indicate connectivity.

    Thanks
