Hi simon Moloney, I know how frustrating this must be you just want to get back into Outlook but losing the password after reinstalling the app makes it feel like you’re suddenly locked out of something you really need.

If you’ve lost your Outlook password after reinstalling the app start by checking iCloud Keychain or saved logins on your other devices. If nothing turns up use Microsoft’s recovery form and give as much detail as you can or if its a work account ask your IT admin to reset it. Once you’ve got a new password reinstall Outlook and sign back in or if you’ve set up Authenticator or another sign in option use that instead.

Do you happen to still have Outlook signed in on another device browser or saved in a password manager? If so we might be able to pull the login details from there instead of going through the full recovery process.

Best regards

If you've deleted the Outlook app from your iPhone and are unable to recover your account due to a lost password, you can reset your password using the following options:

    1. Ask your administrator to reset your password if you are using a work or school account.
    2. If you have the ability to reset your own password, you can use the Self-Service Password Reset wizard:

After resetting your password, you can reinstall the Outlook app and sign in with your new password.
