Hi Kerry, thats got to be exhausting you’re just trying to open Word or Excel to get your work done and instead of your files loading all you see is a black screen with a sign out message staring back at you.

To fix the No Credentials  Black Window issue in Word or Excel clear the IdentityCache reset your saved credentials make sure the Office licensing service is running re register Office and if it still fails try a new user profile or share logs with Microsoft Support.

When the black window appears does it happen only when opening existing documents or even when you launch Word/Excel without opening a file?

    Best regards

If you are experiencing issues opening Word or Excel documents and encountering a black window while appearing to be signed out, it may be related to authentication problems or network issues. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:

    1. Check your credentials: Ensure that you are signed in with the correct Microsoft account that has access to the documents.
    2. Network connectivity: Verify that your network connection is stable and that there are no firewall or antivirus settings blocking access to Microsoft services.
    3. Update Office: Ensure that your Office applications are up to date, as updates can resolve bugs and improve performance.
    4. Clear cache: Sometimes, clearing the Office cache can help resolve issues with opening documents.
    5. Repair Office: You can try repairing your Office installation through the Control Panel.
    6. Check for Conditional Access: If your organization uses Conditional Access, ensure that you meet all requirements to access the documents.

If the issue persists, you may need to consult your IT department or Microsoft support for further assistance.
