A few months ago, I signed up for the free nonprofit 365 account. I have the authenticator app, however, when I try to go into the account online, I cannot get a code to show on the app, nor can I put a code into the app if I try the different method. I can't turn off two-step verification because I can't log in. I can't get support, because I can't log into that account. Instructions online tell me to contact my org's admin, which I guess is me (non-IT person who signed up online for the account). How do I reset passwords, the authenticator app, etc, to be able to access?

Association account : [<Mod mask PII>xxx @xxx.onmicrosoft.com]

I remain at your disposal to perhaps provide a more detailed description of my difficulties.

Sorry for my appromative english . Thank you for understanding.

Jacques

If you're not receiving a code in the Microsoft Authenticator app and are unable to log into your nonprofit 365 account, here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check for Third-Party Security Apps: Sometimes, third-party security apps can block the verification code. If you have any such apps installed, try disabling them temporarily and then request another code.
    2. Retry the Authentication Process: Attempt to sign in again and see if the code appears in the app after a few tries. Microsoft allows users to attempt up to five times in five minutes to receive a phone call or text message for authentication.
    3. Use Alternative Verification Methods: If you have set up multiple verification methods, try selecting a different method on the sign-in page to receive the code.
    4. Reset Your Account: If you are the global admin for your organization, you can reset your account by going through the registration process again. This may help in regaining access to your account.
    5. Contact Support: If the above steps do not work, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance. Since you mentioned you can't log in, you might need to find support through another account or ask a colleague who has access to help you reach out to support.
    6. App Passwords: If your organization allows the use of app passwords, you might need to set one up for legacy applications that do not support modern authentication. This is only necessary if you are using such applications.

If you continue to experience issues, consider checking the official Microsoft support resources for more detailed guidance.
