setting the function language in Excel

Hello. We ask for help in setting up the language of the functions, unfortunately we cannot do this ourselves. scr lang.png The language of the function should be displayed in the same way as the interface language. thanks

Good day. I'm Jhun an independent advisor. Here's how to make Excel function names use the same language as the interface.

A. Check Office Language settings.

1. Open Excel
2. Go to: File > Options > Language
3. You will see three language sections:
   Office Disply Language
   Office Authoring / Editing Language
   Proofing tools
4. To make function names match the interface, ensure the following.
   Ukrainian is set as "Preferred" in Display Language
   Ukrainian is set as "Preferred" in Authoring/Editing Language
   Status should show "Installed" (not "Partially installed)
5. If "Ukranian" editing tools are not fully installed, click "Add a Language" > Українська (Ukrainian).
6. Click "Install". Office will download the language pack.

B. Restart all Office Apps. Close Excel and reopen. See if Function names should now appear in Ukranian.

C. Check Windows Language Settings

1. Open Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region.
2. Ensure that Ukrainian is installed as Windows Language Pack and Preferably set it as Windows display language. Excel sometimes uses Windows settings.

D. If Functions is still in english, this might mean Excel is using the English function dictionary.

1. Repair your Office. Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features
2. Select Microsoft 365 / Office
3. Choose Change > Quick Repair
4. If didn't work Reinstall the Ukranian language pack. Download this from Microsoft: Microsoft Office proofing tools – Ukrainian.
