Hello Bobbee Wiedeman, welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you want to remotely sign out from an Xbox console. The way to do this is by removing the console from your Microsoft account:

    • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices
    • Sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • Under Devices, find the Xbox console (it may show the console name or gamertag).
    • Select the console and choose Remove device.
    • Check I’m ready to remove this device, then click Remove.

The console will be signed out within seconds, even if it is currently in use. The child will not be able to sign back in without the new password.

    I hope this helps!
