If you're having trouble receiving the code from your authentication app, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Phone Settings: Ensure that your phone's settings allow notifications from the authentication app. Sometimes, notifications can be blocked or silenced.
    2. Use Alternative Methods: If you're not receiving the code through the app, consider using other verification methods available, such as receiving a text message or a voice call. You can select Other verification options during the sign-in process.
    3. Verify Phone Number: Make sure that the phone number associated with your account is correct. You can check this in your user account settings.
    4. App Issues: If the app is not functioning correctly, you might want to try clearing the app's cache or data, or even reinstalling it again.
    5. Network Connection: Ensure that your device has a stable internet connection, as the app may require it to receive notifications or generate codes.
    6. Time Sync: Check that the time on your device is set correctly. If the time is out of sync, it can cause issues with the codes generated by the app.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to reach out to your school's IT support for further assistance.

Dear @OL-Weadon, Lamone (Online), Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum. We are happy to assist.

If you are using an education account provided by your school, kindly follow this instructions:

For a quick resolution, please reach out to your school's IT or admin team and ask them to reset the MFA methods or add another authenticator method for the affected users.

Below is a step-by-step solution tailored for your IT admin to follow to reset MFA for your account

1 – Navigate to Microsoft 365 Admin Center, you can click Identity at the sidebar

Microsoft 365 Admin Center website: Microsoft 365 admin center    User's image

It will lead you to Microsoft Entra Admin Center (Microsoft Entra - Microsoft Entra admin center)

    Select Users

    Click All users     User's image

Click on to the affected account name (your account)

    For example:

    User's image

    2 – Select "Authentication Methods"

    User's image

    3 – Click "Require re-register multifactor authentication"

    User's image

Next time the user sign in, the system will require them to set up a new authentication method. By using this, the affected user can re-set up the right authentication method.

Alternatively, you can add an authenticator method as a backup in case MFA fails.
