To restore your Microsoft Authenticator accounts on a new phone, you need to follow these steps:

    1. Set up Microsoft Authenticator recovery settings on your old device:
      • Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your old phone.
      • Go to Settings and turn on iCloud backup. This will back up your account credentials to your iCloud account.
    2. Transfer the backup to your new device:
      • On your new phone, install the Microsoft Authenticator app from the App Store.
      • Open the app and tap Begin recovery.
      • Sign in with your personal Microsoft account that you used for the backup to restore your allowed MFA credentials and saved passwords.
    3. Enable phone sign-in:
      • After restoring the backup, select your employee email address in the Authenticator app and tap Set up 2-step verification to register your new device.

Make sure you do not remove the Microsoft Authenticator app from your old device until you have successfully set up your new device, especially if you are using app-based multifactor authentication (MFA).
