I was trying to log in on my outlook account. However, my account in authenticator for some reason won't verify my account. Also, the icon that popped up when putting the number in, is not showing up. What do I need to do to?

If your authenticator app is not verifying your Outlook account, you can try the following steps:

    1. Remove and Re-add Your Account: Go to your account profile and sign in with your organizational account. Remove the existing account from the Microsoft Authenticator app and then add it again. This can help resolve any configuration issues.
    2. Check for Notifications: If you are using an app like Auth0 Guardian, remember that it sends push notifications instead of codes. Make sure you are allowing notifications from the app and check if you need to open the notification to complete the authentication process.
    3. Clear App Data: If the app is still not functioning properly, you might want to clear the app's data or reinstall it to ensure there are no corrupted files.
    4. Ensure App is Installed: Make sure that you have the authenticator app installed on your device and that it is updated to the latest version. If you have deleted the app, you will need to reinstall it to continue accessing your account.
    5. Use Alternative Verification Methods: If the authenticator app continues to fail, consider using alternative verification methods such as receiving a text message or phone call for verification, if those options are available.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact support for further assistance.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Did you remove or reinstall the Authenticator app? If you have used any of the resetting options, you will be prompted to 'Verify Your Account' in the Authenticator app again.

    1. On the Authenticator app, click Verify.
    2. You will be asked to sign in with your credentials.
    3. After typing your password and when you're asked to Verify Your Identity using the Authenticator app again, select 'I can't use the Authenticator app right now' and use alternative verification methods like Phone number or email address to verify your account.

    1. Your account will be added to the Authenticator app again.
    2. You can then sign in with your Microsoft account on any of the Microsoft services, such as Outlook, without any authentication problems.
