Microsoft edge forcing bing

Before the latest 2004 update I used to be able to start a search by typing a question into Edges address bar at which time it went to my default search engine google. Now all of a sudden am force to bing which I do not like. Is there a way to fix this. TIA

    I suggest you to refer steps mentioned here and change search engine back to Google:

    Navigate to edge >··· >setting >Privacy and services >Scroll down to the Services section and select Address bar >select your preferred search engine.
