Cannot verify customer domain name

I have gone thru the steps of adding a custom TXT DNS entry for Custom Domain Name verification using Entra ID.
Despite running nslookup and verifying the custom DNS entry, when verifying thru Entra ID/Default Directory -> Manage -> Custom domain names -> <select> -> Verify (button).... it always fails

It has been over 24 hours since creating DNS entry

BTW Azure AD or Azure Entra ID is not available as a child tag necessary for question submittal

    Hello John T,

    The issue relates to an unable to verify custom domain name as it is verified in different directory in Azure.

    To resolve this, we have engaged our Data Protection team through a support ticket. They will reach out to you via email or phone to help restore access to the tenant and assist in resolving the issue.
