How to get rid of an ******@outlook.com from my account

found a random email address in my account profile. I have no idea where it came from or how to get rid of it and after trying to reach customer support for 4 hours for help decided to ask the community. I assume it came from a previous employer linking their Office 365 account to my profile since I was an independent contractor but really not sure.

Can you describe the exact location you saw this outlook.com address?

Since email address sharing is censored here, I cannot tell the full address. Is the username some random numbers and letters?

To remove an unwanted email address from your Outlook account, you can follow these general steps:

    1. Sign in to your Outlook account: Go to the Outlook website and log in with your credentials.
    2. Access Account Settings: Click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner, then select View account.
    3. Manage Email Aliases: Look for an option related to managing your account or email aliases. This may be under Your info or Security settings.
    4. Remove the Email Alias: If you find the unwanted email address listed as an alias, select it and choose the option to remove it.
    5. Save Changes: Make sure to save any changes you make.

If you cannot find the option to remove the email address, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance, especially if the email address is linked to a previous employer's Office 365 account.
