every time i try to log into ms word or excel, i get an error saying "Another account from your organization is already signed in on this device. Try again with a different account." I'm logged into Teams without any issue, and can use Word or Excel on other devices or on my Macbook's browser. I followed co-pilot advice to delete keychain data but still not luck.

    Hi,

Sorry you’re dealing with this. If you’ve already tried clearing the keychain and running the ResetOneAuthCreds command, here’s something else that usually works:

Close out of all your Microsoft apps. Then, open Finder, click on the Go menu at the top, hold down the Option key, and pick Library. Go into Group Containers, and drag these folders to the Trash: UBF8T346G9.ms, UBF8T346G9.Office, and UBF8T346G9.OfficeOsfWebHost. Empty your Trash, restart your Mac, and then try opening any Office app and signing in again.

Let me know if that does the trick or if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

The error message "Another account from your organization is already signed in on this device" typically occurs when there is an existing sign-in from another Microsoft 365 account within the same organization. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve this issue on your Mac:

    1. Close all Microsoft 365 apps: Ensure that all instances of Word, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 applications are closed.
    2. Reset OneAuth Credentials: Open the Terminal on your Mac and run the following command:
defaults write com.microsoft.Word ResetOneAuthCreds -bool YES

After running this command, open Microsoft Word and try to sign in again.
    3. Sign Out and Sign In Again: If the issue persists, try signing out of all Microsoft 365 apps and then signing back in. Make sure to check if there are any accounts still signed in.
    4. Check Keychain Access: Since you mentioned deleting keychain data, ensure that all relevant credentials are removed from Keychain Access. Sometimes cached credentials can cause conflicts.
    5. Remove Cached Credentials: If you're still facing issues, you may need to remove any cached credentials related to Microsoft 365. You can do this by navigating to the appropriate folders and deleting the relevant files, as mentioned in the troubleshooting steps for Windows devices, but adapted for Mac.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider running the Microsoft 365 sign-in troubleshooter for further assistance.
