Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello @Arasananthan Narasimman,
Thank you for your question and for sharing the details of your migration plan.
Based on Microsoft’s official documentation, please refer to this article for a comprehensive overview: Cross-tenant SharePoint migration.
Based on my knowledge, if you plan to migrate SharePoint sites using Microsoft’s native tools, the best approach is to work directly with Microsoft technical support. They can ensure the migration process is as smooth as possible and confirm any licensing requirements specific to your scenario.
In most cases, smaller tenants will not incur additional costs for SharePoint migration. However, for organizations with more than 500 users, an Enterprise Agreement may be required.
For this reason, I recommend not purchasing any add-ons upfront. Instead, initiate the migration request with Microsoft support and follow their guidance. If they determine that additional licenses or add-ons are necessary, you can proceed with purchasing them at that time.
This approach will help avoid unnecessary costs and ensure compliance with Microsoft’s requirements.
To open a support ticket: Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, go to "Help & Support" at the right bottom, describe your issue (e.g., “Cross-tenant SharePoint migration”), and submit the request.
If you need assistance contacting Microsoft support or preparing for the migration, please let me know, I’m happy to help.
Best regards,
