Low GPT5 token limit

Hello,

I'm wondering how likely it is to get the quota for GPT5 increased in Europe? We currently have a limit of 50k TPM, which is not enough for our usecase (extracting data from documents)... I already filled out the form to request higher quota last week.

Greetings

Tom

The likelihood of getting a quota increase for GPT-5 in Europe depends on several factors, including the demand for the service and your usage patterns. Since you have already submitted a request for a higher quota, it will be processed in the order it was received. Priority is typically given to customers who generate traffic that consumes their existing quota allocation. If your usage aligns with this criterion, you may have a better chance of receiving an increase.

It's important to note that quota increase requests are subject to approval and may be denied if the conditions for priority are not met. Therefore, it may be beneficial to ensure that your usage justifies the need for a higher limit.

    Hey Finline,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and Thank you for reaching out.

It looks like you're looking to get your GPT-5 token limit increased because the current cap of 50k tokens per minute (TPM) just isn’t cutting it for your use case of extracting data from documents. Since you've already filled out the request form, that's a great step!

Here's some information on what you can generally expect moving forward:

    1. Request Processing Time: Usually, it takes about 10 business days for Azure to process quota increase requests, and you should get a confirmation email regarding the status of your request.
    2. Quota Allocation: If your workload is consuming the allocated quota efficiently, it can increase your chances of approval. If you can, providing detailed information on how you’ll use the increased quota might help.
    3. Monitoring Current Usage: Make sure to keep an eye on your token usage. You can check this in the Azure AI Foundry portal under Management > Model quota or Usage and Quotas. Using Azure Monitor to track usage and set alerts is also a smart choice.
