How do I remove the pass key on Windows 11? I now need to enter the pass key when open my cell phone. How do eliminate he sign in pass key?

Hello William, I know it's confusing when your sign-in changes. Windows 11 uses passkeys for password-free sign-in, often with your Microsoft account. If you set up Windows Hello or added a passkey, it might affect your phone if it shares the same account.

To fix it, check your Microsoft account security settings online for Passkeys or Windows Hello and remove any listed. On your PC, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and turn off Windows Hello or any passkey option. Restart your devices afterward.

Are you using a Microsoft account on your phone, or does it ask for the passkey when unlocking?

To remove a passkey on Windows 11, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Navigate to Accounts > Passkeys.
3. A list of saved passkeys will be displayed. You can filter them by name.
4. To delete a passkey, select the ... next to the passkey name and choose Delete passkey.

Note that some passkeys for login.microsoft.com cannot be deleted as they are used with Microsoft Entra ID and/or Microsoft Account for signing in to the device and Microsoft services.

If you have a passkey saved in the Microsoft Authenticator app, you will also need to delete it from there to ensure it is completely removed from your sign-in methods. An Authentication Policy Administrator can delete a passkey from the user's authentication methods through the Microsoft Entra admin center, but the user must also remove it from Authenticator on their device if they initiated the deletion themselves.
