Trying to sign into one of my apps but asking for a Microsoft verification code.
I am not the most computer savvy and unsure how to access it.

- Code appears in the Microsoft Authenticator app (or you receive a prompt to Approve/Decline)
- Code sent via SMS or email (depends on what you previously set up)
If You Already Use Microsoft Authenticator:
On your phone → open Microsoft Authenticator.
Look for your Microsoft account, It will show something like:
- "Outlook"
- "Personal Microsoft Account"
- Your email (******@outlook.com)
When you tap it, you should see:
- A 6-digit verification code, OR
- A “Approve sign-in” prompt will pop up automatically.
Then use the code or tap “Approve”
- If the app shows a 6-digit code, enter that code into the app/website asking for it.
- If you get a sign-in request, just tap Approve.
See if this helps. If you need further assistance just let me know.
Best regards,
Kimberly
