Some Windows ui font got pixelated.

User's image some of these fonts got pixelated, i have tried clear type adjust, i have tried downloading and replacing the segoe-ui font. its only happening in the search bar only. my windows are updated, my gpu is also updated. my resolution is set to 100% native. its 1920x1080p.
the font should be like chatgpt and changelog. as i search something and it comes under "best match" then the font changes to that pixelated.

Thanks for sharing the details, Samay! Try to force Windows Search to rebuild its WebView2 rendering engine. The Windows 11 Search panel actually renders using Microsoft Edge WebView2. If WebView2 is corrupted, the Search UI falls back to bitmap fonts → pixelation.

Steps:

Download the Evergreen WebView2 Runtime installer from Microsoft: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/#download-section
Install (or reinstall) the x64 Evergreen Runtime
Reboot

This forces the Search UI to re-render using DirectWrite → fixing pixelation.

hi the issue is still there. i reinstall it, rebooted - didn't work. i did it again and still didn't work.

Run this in PowerShell (Admin):

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command "Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers Microsoft.Windows.StartMenuExperienceHost | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register ($_.InstallLocation + '\AppXManifest.xml')}"

Then reboot.

This will not remove apps

This targets the Start Menu / Search XAML renderer directly

This fixes pixelated sidebar fonts for many users

No, it’s still not fixed. 😭 I’m not sure if this is related to the problem, but I used to have a font manager called FontBase. I used it to favorite fonts so I could access them easily across multiple design programs. FontBase creates its own directory and pulls fonts from both the Windows Fonts folder and Google Fonts online. To use a font from Google Fonts, I would just click a button to activate it, and it would then appear in my system’s font list. The same happened with Windows fonts, FontBase would duplicate them, and when I deactivated a font, it would basically move it out of the Fonts folder. In short, FontBase was managing my fonts by turning them on and off.

About two weeks ago, while I was using Premiere Pro, almost all of my favorite fonts disappeared. When I opened FontBase, they came back, even though before that they would stay available even when FontBase wasn’t running. Ever since that day, I’ve also been experiencing this issue with the Search UI font.

I’ve already uninstalled FontBase and reinstalled all my fonts properly, but the problem with the Search UI font still remains.
