Notepad only supports very basic markdown syntax that supports the text formatting functions listed on the top menu in Notepad.

There is no official list of the markdown supported.

Create a new document in Notepad, then add text and apply the various formatting available on the top menu to different parts of the text, then on the bottom bar in Notepad, click the 'Formatted' button and you will see the available markdown supported in Notepad.
