Recently bought a game called Trigger Happy Havoc on Steam and the error 0x800F080C when I was trying boot the game up. My current Windows version is Win 11 26H1 (build 280000.1199)
The graphics installer requires Open GL/ Direct X 9.0C as the minimum specs. I have ried using the SFC and DISM commands and they had found no errors, and I have used and ran Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool and it ran successfully but the error still persists. I have also checked my system updates and driver errors and they came back with nothing.
Not sure what to do next and would like to have further advice on this forum.
That is a very old game, and Windows 11 is not as compatible with older games as previous versions of Windows was, it may or may not be compatible, have you installed the DirectX 9 Runtime on your PC, restart your PC, then tried to run the game in Windows 7 compatibility Mode?

Tried both solutions but it is still not working.
If that did not get the game running, then the game is too old and most likely cannot be played on Windows 11 26H1, try posting a question to the Steam forum to see if anyone there has a workaround to get the game running in Windows 11.
